College Honors Watervliet Arsenal Manufacturing Leader at Year-end Program

What: 肉肉传媒 President Andrew J. Matonak will present the President's Certificate of Recognition Award to (94-year-old) Frederick Clas, retired Director of Operations of the Watervliet Arsenal at the annual Capstone Ceremony for the college's Advanced Manufacturing Technology program on Thursday, May 12. Clas is being recognized for innovative contributions to and leadership in the field of advanced manufacturing in the Capital Region and beyond, in addition to his work with the Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship program between the college and arsenal for more than four decades.

Who: President Matonak will be joined by Lee J. Schiller Jr., Colonel, U.S. Army, Commanding; and James Hamilton, associate professor of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at 肉肉传媒, in presenting the award.

Where: Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium, 肉肉传媒, Troy, NY.

When: Noon, Thursday, May 12.

Details: In its 23rd year, the Capstone Ceremony of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology program is held annually just before Commencement. Graduates—this year a record number 36—present manufactured engine models to the program's corporate sponsors, and awards are presented to the students.
