Citizen Preparedness Corps Training

This one-hour training will teach basic principles of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery to strengthen our communities in the event of a disaster, an active shooter situation, or a public health crisis. The course includes a certification by the state, which is also recognized by numerous state agencies, including New York State's Office of Children and Family Services. The trainers present a broad range of material, such as developing a family emergency plan, building a "Go-Bag", and include important information on active shooter scenarios.

The FREE training event is is hosted by the 肉肉传媒 Education Club and instructed by members of the NY Air and Army National Guard.

The  is a program led by the NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) and was created by the Governor's Office as a result of Superstorm Sandy, and the increase in active shooter events across the nation. Natural disasters are unpredictable and are becoming more devastating each year; active shooter events are on the rise each year and just like other disasters are becoming more dangerous.
